Late to the party but this is a 9 out of 10 game for me. I don't need a linear, story driven FPS experience all the time. Each zone in this open world provides enough detail as to why you are there. Since this game tries to provide a real-world type setting I play it on the hardest difficulty. This makes the gameplay so much more intense and makes you really rely on your drone for spotting and rebel squad abilities. Complete freedom of choice in what I do; my days of playing traditional single player FPS's are largely done. This was also the best co-op game of 2017 imo, and yet I was nearly put off by the negative reviews at the time of release. So glad I gave the game a chance.

Its like left 4 dead, but against drug cartel instead, which is more deadly, because they can shoot you back

Play this game on Extreme difficulty and turn your HUD off and you experience exactly the way GRW should be played.

This game is horrible with glitch after glitch. My favorite is landing the helicopter, then when getting out it hops up into the air and explodes killing you as it does that. Or the tips for things like flying low to avoid missiles, then they track launch and find you when you are about 2 feet off the ground. Crap weapons which are all pretty much rated the same, and skills that if you actually do the math, don't actually change much of anything. then throw in the lay out of how many of the same games???? Cash grab, armpit, lazy effort. This is why games are cracked and posted. Because these companies don't care about the product, the customer, they'll just keep using the same piece of junk repainted to keep taking you clueless halfwits money.

This game isn’t that bad only if the had more rescue mission like kidnaping and stuff

What's with all the political critiques of the game? This reminds me of when Gamespot reviewed GTA V and docked it points for promoting sexist messages. RATE IT ON THE GAMEPLAY ASPECTS YOU BABIES

Not to be offensive, but you basically said the game is repetitive, boring and cliché. Yet, you gave it an 8 without saying why. This is not how you review a game. Complain less, explain more.

My God, this guy sounds bored out of his mind -_-

When did Gamespot become so Social Justicey? Was the comment about the dead locals and American interventionism really necessary? Does it affect the gameplay in some way?

came here because it's on sale at best buy right now, goodness gracious the goofy-ass reviewer lmfao. just say if the game is good or not, stop injecting your white guilt into it.

Bruh this guy barely said anything good about the game, yet gave it a seven. And did he really say its main positive is its mission variety?

I agree with the score but he sounded like he was going to give it a 5 at best.

Sort of a disappointment receiving superficial reviews from an amateurish person. I understand IGN for their incompetence at times, but Gamespot? in addition, I don't care if some games possess any repetition. If its credible and vast in every respect. I disregard the minor things are negligible. every game won't be to everyone standards.

    I'd give it a 8.2/10
I always trust Gameranx with reviews, IGN and Gamespot are just… stupid sometimes
