Spread the love

Afraid someone might be able to access your phone and get at your files and pictures? Add an extra layer of security with help from the right apps.

You may have a passcode as well as Touch ID on your iPhone or iPad (or Face ID on the iPhone X), but you’re still concerned that the wrong people could gain access to your photos, videos, contacts, and other personal information.

What can you do? You can turn to Apple’s App Store, where you’ll find a host of apps that can lock access to certain private data. Such apps can shield your photos, videos, and other sensitive files with a password, PIN, or another security measure.

First, make sure you’re protecting your iPhone or iPad with a passcode. Next, set up Touch ID on any supported iPhone or iPad (Touch ID works with the iPhone 5s or later, the 5th generation iPad or later, the iPad Pro, the iPad Air 2, and the iPad mini 3 or later). If you own an iPhone X, enable Face ID.

All set? Great, those are your first lines of defense. Now, let’s check out some apps that can further guard your personal data.
