EVGA: "we screwed up big time with the 1070 and not cooling our VRMs, we told the community it was no big deal just increase your fan speed. Then we realized we compete with many other board partners who make video cards that don't overheat, so we decided to make an improved card. Now we trust you'll buy from the company that screwed up rather than buying from the companies that take it seriously and haven't screwed up. "
